KTM’s in-house suspension specialist, WP, has just released a new version of their XPLOR PRO 6500 cartridge system ― a suspension upgrade for dual sport riders who find the stock set-up doesn’t quite match their requirements on the trail. Previously released for KTM, GasGas and Husky’s high-performance enduros I then tried a 10.0 from Super Plush that seemed to make no noticeable difference. I have now installed a 13.0 spring from my Super Enduro and I get proper sag numbers with 10 mm of spring pre-load. I will try this out this weekend. The KTM manual calls for 18mm of spring pre-load which seems to be excessive IMHO.
Posted August 15, 2023. OK, created a little 6 minutes video today riding my '2019 Husky 701E running the mentioned Australian O2 controller. The surging didn't happen. I would say throttle works somewhat smoother on low RPM. The avg consumption was 4.5L before.

I do have both: 2019 Enduro R and 2019 790 ADVR (with same tires - Motoz RallZ - so I can compare). For me the "quality" feels the same. What has been said in previous posts is absolutely true: the 690 is a heavy offroad bike with excellent on-road manners (for an offroad bike), and the 790 is a light adventure bike with excellent off-road capabilities (for an adventure bike).

The new electronic systems on the KTM 690 ENDURO R get the most from this dynamic machine in all situations.
